Croquet by Kay Wyne

This is a 6" x 8" panel I painted soon after the Carol Marine Workshop. I liked the placement of the objects; a mallet, a post and a ball...all out of an old and worn croquet set that we have in the garage. We have some interesting and rather old croquet balls...most of them do no belong in a set, but ones that have been collected over the years. I have more croquet balls than mallets, so I display all the balls in a big bowl on a coffee table in the den. This painting reminds me of all the yard games we use to play when I was growing up in the midwest. Thanks for viewing! Have an artful day.

  1. This brings back memories of playing croquet in the summer when I was a kid. Well done, Kay!

  2. I must be in a nostalgic kind of mood today, Kay, your painting reminds me of playing croquet with my parents and brothers, fun times in the summertime.
