Croquet, Anyone? by Kay Wyne

Croquet, Anyone?
This little 4" x 6" oil painting is on a cotton panel.
I liked the look of the mallet and ball and then threw in the post.
It was fun...and you need the mallet (a game tool?) to play croquet.
Thanks for viewing this blog. Have a great day.

Croquet Balls by Kay Wyne

This little painting is a companion to the croquet mallet and balls that I posted earlier this week. I pulled out three colorful croquet balls from the arrangement on my coffee table. This 6" x 8" oil painting was fun to do...it is colorful, simple and fun. Thanks for viewing this blog....Have an artful weekend!

Croquet by Kay Wyne

This is a 6" x 8" panel I painted soon after the Carol Marine Workshop. I liked the placement of the objects; a mallet, a post and a ball...all out of an old and worn croquet set that we have in the garage. We have some interesting and rather old croquet balls...most of them do no belong in a set, but ones that have been collected over the years. I have more croquet balls than mallets, so I display all the balls in a big bowl on a coffee table in the den. This painting reminds me of all the yard games we use to play when I was growing up in the midwest. Thanks for viewing! Have an artful day.
