A WALK TO THE PARK by Linda Popple

6X6 Oil on Apersand Gessobord

I painted this from a photograph I took in New York City. This lady was crossing the street with her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I liked the dark shadows of a sunny, summer day in the city and the dog's bright white tail wagging with excitement. She was walking in the direction of Central Park, as was I, and I think the dog knew exactly where they were headed.

  1. Oh, I like this one...the size, subject matter and the feel that the painting has. Great!

  2. Great vantage point on this and you've executed the feeling of the owner and dog walking so well.

  3. Yes, great vantage point, love the sharp contrast between the shadows and the grey sidewalk and road.
