Floral Palette Knife Painting by Kay Wyne

Floral
24" x 24" Oil on Canvas
Still life palette knife painting...now hanging at Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas, Texas. I used oil sticks, oil paints, brushes and knives on this painting. As usual, I have alot of color going, and have a loose look on the canvs. Thanks for viewing this blog and the art posted here by Texas Artists!!!! Kay

  1. Beautiful floral, Kay. The palette knife makes the colors "pop" and gives a wonderful abstract quality to the flowers.

  3. Actually, this painting was "revisited" --- I thought it was finished, and let it sit for months. Then, one day I pulled it out and really layered the paint on with a knife. I guess I had to think about it all.

  4. I like the way your flowers appear to be leaning towards the window; very nice.
