Across the River

With 8 days to go, I finally come through! San Antonio had all gray
sky for a week, then a cloudless pure blue, then the wind kicked
up and brought drama. Looking at this on the monitor, it looks like
a scene out of Dickens. It's the view across the river at the end of
my street. This was way out of my comfort zone but I had fun.
Thank you for challenging me!

  1. Welcome Lorraine!! Your first challenge is really great! Your painting is moody and has such a dramatic atmosphere. Well done!!

  2. I thought Dickens, too! In addition to the dramatic sky, your unique cropping of the buildings really adds mystery to your painting. There is most definitely a story waiting to be told here. Welcome to the group, Lorraine!

  4. I was so surprised to find comments . . . was thinking I should pluck this off the site and brighten it up a bit. It is certainly moody. Thanks for the warm welcome!

  5. Lorraine! You might be a closet landscape painter! Very sort of Turner, with all the churn --
