"Out to Pasture" by Ann Rogers

8 x 10
oil on stretched canvas

The tractor is probably one of the most important tools of farming. This one had been put "out to pasture" after it had served it's usefulness. Painted from a photograph taken in the Texas Hill Country.

Hay 4 Sale - Kirk Witmer

6" x 8 - Oil on canvas panel

This is another from my "Hwy 95" series done from a photo taken on "The Great Sausage Expedition". The photo was taken at Latitude 30.371885/Longitude-97.371178 which puts it not far south of Taylor, TX. I've been interested more and more in things that repeat themselves in an image and when I saw this row of haybales I thought "Yep, that'll do just fine."

Dying Oak - Kirk Witmer

6"x8" - Oil on canvas panel

This was painted from a photo I took back in October when a buddy and I went on a "Sausage Expedition" to buy the necessities for his retirement celebration. It's a view from Hwy 95, not far north of Elgin, and south of Taylor, Texas. We bought sausage in both towns and they were distinctly different. The jury's still out on which one's better. ;)
This piece will be among my offerings on my eBay store, but I've decided for several reasons to postpone its opening until probably February.

Restive Lake - Kirk Witmer

Oil on canvas panel - 6" x 8"

Finally getting back into the swing of things now that the new year is here. The holidays really mess me up schedule-wise but I guess that's true for a lot of folks. For me it seems like it's about a six week or so interruption to getting anything done.

This item will be going up for auction in my eBay store in about a week or so. Click here if you'd like to receive email advance notice of upcoming offerings, before they're even posted on eBay!

A Place to Dream by Nancy Medina

A Place to Dream by Nancy Medina

A Place to Dream is an original oil painting based on the Adirondack chair in my back yard retreat. With a little artistic license, I grew bunches of wild poppies and Blackeyed Susans, and changed my red chair to blue especially for this painting. Visit my art blog to see the flowers that bloom all year round in my Flower Mound garden.
