Shelf Life by Mitzi Easley

Shelf Life: Kitchen, Top Right by Mitzi Easley
8x8, oil on panel
$115, please visit Mitzi's blog!
I hope these primroses qualify me for the February "flower" theme. I greatly admire my fellow artists who paint flowers so beautifully. I attempt it faithfully about twice a year - and always when the little pots of primroses arrive at the grocery store. Click here to see last year's variety. Visit my blog to see more in this recent still life series titled 'Shelf Life.'

Burger by Kirk Witmer

12" x 12"
Oil on masonite

Before you ask "where's the cheese?" ... This is a hamburger, not a cheeseburger. (I was all out of cheese that day.) Some folks have told me this painting makes them hungry. I can't imagine why.... :)

Pamela's Shed Door - Kirk Witmer

6" x 8"
Oil on canvas panel

A friend has this really interesting door on a stone shed behind her home. I just love her security system. Ain't nobody gettin' in there as long as that rock is where it is! :)

Hay 4 Sale - Kirk Witmer

6" x 8 - Oil on canvas panel

This is another from my "Hwy 95" series done from a photo taken on "The Great Sausage Expedition". The photo was taken at Latitude 30.371885/Longitude-97.371178 which puts it not far south of Taylor, TX. I've been interested more and more in things that repeat themselves in an image and when I saw this row of haybales I thought "Yep, that'll do just fine."

Dying Oak - Kirk Witmer

6"x8" - Oil on canvas panel

This was painted from a photo I took back in October when a buddy and I went on a "Sausage Expedition" to buy the necessities for his retirement celebration. It's a view from Hwy 95, not far north of Elgin, and south of Taylor, Texas. We bought sausage in both towns and they were distinctly different. The jury's still out on which one's better. ;)
This piece will be among my offerings on my eBay store, but I've decided for several reasons to postpone its opening until probably February.
