"Lil' Dude" by Gwen Bell
5x8" oil on canvas panel nfs
This was painted from one of my favorite photos of my son , Michael. He was about 2 1/2 and idolized his Grandpa who always wore a hat and boots. He's 36 now but I still see this sweet little boy when I look at him.
Gwen, I am so impressed with this wonderful painting...hope to see more figurative work from you, although I love your still life setups as well, Okay, maybe I just like all of your artwork!

Wonderful painting and a fantastic way to remember and pay tribute to your Father. I have to agree with Kay, this makes me want to search through some old photos, too.
This is so sweet and cute! Michael has such a great expression on his face! Love it!

Gwen, what a cutie. Love it. Makes me want to pull out some old photos of the kiddos and paint them in boots and hat.
