Across the River
With 8 days to go, I finally come through! San Antonio had all gray
sky for a week, then a cloudless pure blue, then the wind kicked
up and brought drama. Looking at this on the monitor, it looks like
a scene out of Dickens. It's the view across the river at the end of
my street. This was way out of my comfort zone but I had fun.
Thank you for challenging me!

Welcome Lorraine!! Your first challenge is really great! Your painting is moody and has such a dramatic atmosphere. Well done!!
ReplyDeleteI thought Dickens, too! In addition to the dramatic sky, your unique cropping of the buildings really adds mystery to your painting. There is most definitely a story waiting to be told here. Welcome to the group, Lorraine!
ReplyDeleteA very dramatic painting and sky! Well done and welcome to the Texas group, Lorraine.
ReplyDeleteI was so surprised to find comments . . . was thinking I should pluck this off the site and brighten it up a bit. It is certainly moody. Thanks for the warm welcome!
ReplyDeleteLorraine! You might be a closet landscape painter! Very sort of Turner, with all the churn --
